Not a Complaint, Just an observation...

Some of the Team Blogs have been solicting things to protest. The demonstration can also be positive and promote something.

There are plenty of good things that people by-pass or don't notice without a second look. Perhaps just getting people to appreciate or attend a local activity could work.

Test will be on Monday, Feb. 23.

Post a 250 word essay on “Conformity in the 1950’s” by start of class on Monday. It should be fact rich, illustrated, have a thesis statement, supporting facts, and conclusion. Any essays submitted after the class will lose 50% of grade per day late. Illustrations that support the essay will receive better grades, a photo of a Poodle Skirt, for example, without any reference to fashion in the essay would lose points. There should be only one essay submitted, so you should be able to edit your post. It must have an attention-grabbing title, any posts titled "Test Essay" or similar, unimaginative keystrokes will lose points. Originality will also be rewarded.

Test will be taken at the desks surrounding the atrium, not in the Alden room.

So, Essay to be posted before test, bluebook test to be taken at desks.
Essays must be illustrated, so practice adding images to posts and then deleting them as part of your test prep.

Yes! "Ten Facts" will be included. The questions and essay will total 90% of grade, the remaining ten points will come from valid, facts of substantial scholarly merit introduced during class, but not mentioned as a part of the test. Facts that are well known and "true" such as the US is in North America, or similar frivolous answers will be graded accordingly.
